THE date is December 27 and a couple of years down, many in Bulawayo would have been preparing to attend the annual Kalawa Homecoming party, but that is not the case this year.

With Covid-19 came many changes to the entertainment industry. All hopes of reviving the Kalawa Homecoming party were lost thereafter. But for party lovers, there is no need to worry because ZITF Hall 1 will play host to an end-of-year show this evening that is promising to be equally as entertaining as the much-loved Kalawa Homecoming.

Like Kalawa, the Boss Festival has a star-studded lineup full of award-winning artists, both international and local. It has a variety to cater to everyone, from hip-hop to Amapiano to dancehall and tribal house music.

The show is set to be headlined by award-winning South African rapper, Nasty C and Amapiano artists Robot Boi and Njelic who arrived in Bulawayo this morning. On the local scene, tribal house lovers will be kept on their toes by Djembe Monks alongside DJs, DJ Nospa, Umlungu Omnyama, DJ Liz, Boyzin Ishuz, DJ Yugoe and Crazy Dee.

Celebrated artists from the capital city in the form of Holy Ten, Buffalo Souljah, Jah Seed, Voltz JT will also keep patrons on their toes. Hypeman Mtkay Ntwana will be the MC in what promises to be a great time for the city’s party lovers.

“We want to give Bulawayo a variety of genres throughout the night. This will not be a 20-minute show. The people of Bulawayo have been short-changed in previous shows, this lineup will keep the patrons on their feet throughout the night,” said one of the organisers Brian Samuriwo.

The show is expected to start at 5pm till late.
