THE Southern African Development Community (Sadc) Anti-Sanctions music concert in Esigodini last night was a massive hit, featuring top-notch performances from various artists across the country. The event showcased Zimbabwe’s rich musical talent, with performances from artistes across different genres highlighting the beauty and potential of the nation when everyone comes together.
The Anti-Sanctions music concert took place at Habane Stadium in Esigodini under the theme “Embracing Innovation Towards Vision 2030: The Relentless Fight Against Illegal Sanctions.” The event had a star-studded line-up of Zimbabwe’s top musical talent. Performers included Jah Master, Sandra Ndebele, Chief Hwenje, DJ Fantan, Iyasa, Godolude, Jeys Marabini, Clement Magwaza, Sasha Madube, Manine, Mzoe7, Madlela Skhobokhobo, Simon Mutambi, Jah Signal, Mbare Chimurenga, and Mark Ngwazi, who all came to the party and kept revellers on their feet the entire evening.
But the party’s not over yet! Today, Bulawayo is hosting the Zanu-PF annual conference gala at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Grounds. The conference wraps up today, with a range of activities lined up to keep visitors entertained.
The grand finale is a gala event on Saturday, featuring an impressive line-up of artistes, including Selmor Mtukudzi, Peter Moyo, and the Police Band.
The local entertainment sector in Bulawayo is also geared up for the big weekend. KoSamuriwo Pub and Grill in the ghetto will host a special braai festival for delegates tomorrow. Entertainment will be provided by Khaya Arts, with DJ Mzoe on the decks. On Sunday, DJ Nospa, alongside resident DJs, will also set the roof on fire at what has been dubbed the “Conference Shutdown” event. – @innocentskizoe
