A 74-YEAR-OLD man from Bulawayo’s Mzilikazi suburb has been missing for almost three weeks, with no leads to his whereabouts.
Mr Clayton Kayiya, who has a mental challenge, was last seen on August 14th walking near his house in Mzilikazi.
According to a statement circulating on social media titled “Missing Person,” Mr Kayiya was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and khaki trousers.
Talking to Mr Kayiya’s sister, Mrs Sphelile Mpofu, she expressed concern noting that he has a mental illness and the family is very worried.
“The last time he was seen, he left his house in Mzilikazi to walk around the area as he often did. There was no one at home, but local children saw him walking around, and he hasn’t been seen since that day. He has a mental illness, and I am the only one able to take him to the doctor as my other siblings are not in Bulawayo. I haven’t slept peacefully since his disappearance and have lost weight. Any leads or efforts to find him would be greatly appreciated,” she said.
Anyone with information on Mr Kayiya’s whereabouts is encouraged to call or message 0777065793 or report to the nearest police station.
