Bulawayo offers diverse entertainment for Sanganai/Hlanganani expo visitors
THE Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is set to ignite the City of Kings and Queens into a flurry of activity this week. Running until Saturday at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) in Bulawayo, the annual expo will bring together tourism professionals and enthusiasts from across the globe.
To complement the event, the entertainment industry has prepared an exciting array of activities for local and international visitors.
The Matobo Gin Festival will offer a unique experience from tomorrow to Sunday at Matobo National Park, showcasing Zimbabwe’s indigenous gin made from local trees.
Combining tourism and gastronomy, the festival presents a refreshing take on what the country has to offer.
Munch & Sip, an exceptional event, will combine food tourism and cultural exchange through music in the city on Saturday.
This event will take guests on a journey of the senses and invite them to indulge in the best of both worlds.
Divided into two distinct stages, Munch & Sip’s “Munch Time” will be a culinary haven, showcasing renowned chef Sindiso Ncube and food connoisseur Carl Joshua Ncube’s exceptional talents.
The music will be provided by South Africa’s DJ Jazzi-Q, King Her, DJ Frosty, DJ Nospa, DJ Prince Eskhosini, and the Travellers Band.
Township tourism will take centre stage with the Sanganai/Hlanganani shutdown event organised at KoSamuriwo Pub & Grill in Luveve on Saturday.
A talented line-up of local DJs will bring their unique styles and energetic sets to the stage.
KoSamuriwo manager, Mehluli Mlotshwa, said: “Our mission is to uncover and showcase the hidden gems of local talent and culture, distinguishing Luveve from other kasis. This is our contribution to the growth of kasi tourism, and we’re committed to making it a success.
“We’re excited to feature a talented line-up of local DJs at the Sanganai/Hlanganani shutdown show. Our performers, including DJ Mzoe, DJ Craze Dee, DJ F’ Envy, and DJ Em Cee, will bring their unique styles and energetic sets to the stage.”
