Musicians in Bulawayo set to perform at the highly-anticipated Swan cigarette launch event on Saturday at White City Stadium in the city have declared they are ready to set the stage alight, joining an exciting line-up of local and regional artistes.

Local stars, including Ma9ine, Insimbi ZeZhwane, Madlela Sikhobokhobo, DJ Mzoe, Iyasa, and Sandra Ndebele, have expressed their enthusiasm ahead of the “musical cocktail”.

Apart from these home-grown talents, music lovers will also be treated to live performances by Sungura legend Alick Macheso, Zimdancehall king Winky D, Chillspot Family’s DJ Levels and Fantan, Calvin Mangena, and German-based rap queen, Awa Khiwe.

Adding an international flavour to the line-up are South African stars such as hip-hop sensation Kwesta, Jerusalema hit-maker Master KG, Murumba Pitch and Toss of Senz’ Umlando fame. Botswana’s music giant, Vee Mampeezy is also expected to grace the stage.

The event will be hosted by Star FM presenter Babongile Sikhonjwa and Ndumiso Skywalker, kicking off at 10am. To gain entry, attendees must purchase two packs of Swan cigarettes.

Ma9ine, a fan favourite, expressed excitement at being part of the line-up.
“It’s a great honour to perform at such a massive event. Swan promises to be a huge brand in Zimbabwe, and being associated with them means a lot for my music career,” said Ma9ine.

Madlela Sikhobokhobo commended the event organisers for striking a balance between local and regional artistes.

“It’s refreshing to see an event of this scale giving both local and regional artistes a platform. Fans will enjoy a diverse range of performances, making this a must-attend event,” he said.
Insimbi ZeZhwane, through their front-man, Meluleki “Brema” Moyo, assured fans of a stellar performance and called on their supporters to attend in large numbers.

One of the event organisers, Ushewokunze Mutemwa, said the Bulawayo edition follows successful Swan Cigarette activations in Beitbridge, Mutare, and Harare. He also revealed that before the musical showcase begins, attendees will be treated to a soccer match between Zim Musicians FC and Bulawayo Ambassadors.

“Preparations are going well, and we have plenty of surprises lined up for attendees. We encourage people to come early and enjoy the entire experience,” said Mutemwa.

“We’ve curated a diverse line-up to cater to Bulawayo and Matabeleland’s multicultural audience, ensuring a vibrant mix of talent. We expect all artistes to deliver their best performances.”
With an electrifying line-up and an exciting pre-show soccer match, the Swan cigarette launch promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, culture and entertainment.
