Bulawayo Ward 9 Councillor decries rising divorce rates and domestic violence

BULAWAYO Ward Nine Councillor Donaldson Mabuto has bemoaned the high level of moral decadence in the ward, saying divorce cases and domestic violence are alarming.
Speaking at a church service for the late broadcaster Zvikomborero Sibanda, Mr Mabuto, without providing statistics, said divorce cases, domestic violence, and uncouth behaviour by the youth are worrying.
“I cannot continue counselling someone far older than my father. It’s disheartening what is happening in the ward.
“There are high cases of divorce in the ward, especially among those aged between 30 and 40. It’s shocking.
“People are not respecting each other,” he said.
