Harare-based Zim hip hop star Takura of the Zino Irema and Mai Mwana fame will be in Bulawayo this weekend for a performance at Club Vista.

Together with Bulawayo’s Luveve boy, Cal_Vin, the two artistes are expected to light up the stage and spit powerful verses while making their fans dance on Saturday evening.

This will be the first time that the duo will share the stage supported by DJs Nospa, Cue Movement, Mzue and Sweeto.

Takura who is on a quest to penetrate the international market is not new to Bulawayo as he did part of his primary schooling here at Thomas Rudland. He also worked with Cal_Vin on his Planet Vin album on the track My Damn Self.

Event organiser, Terminator Makoni, said all was in place for the event with Takura expected to arrive in the city on Saturday. Entry has been pegged at $5.

“It’s definitely going to be a great show as these are two Zim hip hop giants,” said Makoni.

He said Zim hip hop fanatics will be treated to Takura’s latest tracks like single Jehovah and Can’t Get Over You which trended upon its release on YouTube.

A day before this event, Cal_Vin who is preparing for the launch of his seventh album will be roasted at a comedy roast session at the Thistle Room on Friday where fans will get to know more about him — the good and the bad.
