Casino odds as Chiefs fight for life

BULAWAYO Chiefs will need a draw to survive the dreaded relegation chop when they take on Manica Diamonds in their last game of the season.
Picking at least a point against Manica Diamonds will be enough for Amakhosi Amahle to have another Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) dance.
The Twitter Kings will be hoping that Hwange and Bikita Minerals play a stalemate in another fixture set for Mutare.
With both teams, Manica and Bikita playing their home games in Mutare, PSL are yet advise on where and when the matches will take place.
Chiefs need a win and they survive regardless of the result of that other match.
If Chiefs draws and the other match ends in a draw the Bulawayo team will survive. If Chiefs loses or draws and there is a winner in the other match, Chiefs goes.
If Chiefs lose and there is a draw in the other match Chiefs may survive as the goal difference is in their favour.
So, in short, Chiefs need a win to avoid looking at that match as they will survive.
Both Bikita and Hwange will be hoping that they win and at the same time hope that Chiefs drop points for anyone of them to survive.
“It’s not over until it’s over. We will go and face Manica Diamonds with all the confidence. We have generally done well after a rebuilding exercise,” said Bulawayo Chiefs head coach, Thulani ” Thuts” Sibanda.
In their previous match, Bulawayo Chiefs played a nil all draw against visiting ZPC Kariba.
Arenel Movers and Chegutu Pirates have already been relegated in a season that saw free-spending Simba Bhora clinch the 2024 season league title.
Captained by Walter Musona, star-studded Simba Bhora are in their second season in the country’s elite football league.
They dethroned Mhondoro based Ngezi Platinum Stars who are set to take on Dynamos in a rescheduled PSL match.
Interestingly, Ngezi Platinum Stars and DeMbare are set to meet in a repeat of last year’s Chibuku Super Cup final set for Rufaro Stadium on November 30.—@FungaiMuderere
