JUST 48 hours before his contract with Bulawayo Chiefs lapses, defender Elvis Moyo is being heavily linked with a move to Harare giants Dynamos.
Moyo is believed to be one of the numerous players who have indicated to the club that they will be seeking to continue their playing careers elsewhere. Already, Perfect Chikwende is believed to be on the verge of joining Manica Diamonds while assistant coach Thulani “Thuts” Sibanda is on his way to Triangle FC.

The former FC Platinum and Chippa United star Elvis and twin brother Kelvin, along with Kelvin Madzongwe, have during the course of the just ended season missed training sessions in protest over salary arrears.
The trio’s exit has been talked about long before Bulawayo Chiefs won the Chibuku Super Cup. Chiefs have gone for months without paying their players, which means the athletes have due cause to walk out of their contracts in terms of Fifa statutes.

Perfect Chikwende

On Saturday, placards inscribed with demands for unpaid money were left on the entrance of the Chiefs shop situated at Tshaka Centre reportedly by disgruntled players who endured a miserable Christmas with nothing to show for winning the country’s most prestigious club competition, the Chibuku Super Cup and finishing seventh, the best ever position achieved by the club since its entry into the PSL in 2018.

Chiefs players were in terms of a deal brokered by the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe promised that they will be paid their outstanding dues through the Chibuku Super Cup prize money. The arrangement stated that 70 of the prize money ought to have gone to the players but that has not been the case as the club has not met their end of the deal. Players were also meant to pocket 100 percent of the PSL prize money.

A source who is close to proceedings at Amakhosi Amahle as Chiefs are affectionately known said Elvis Moyo weighing up his options.
“Elvis is in talks with Dynamos. I’m not in a position to reveal if anything has materialised as purported by some sections of the media and of course on social media,” said the source.

Contacted for comment, Elvis said he had no comment on matters regarding his future.
