Choreographer Schmidt to drop debut album Schmidt

HAVE you ever heard of a place called Jesus?

Gospel musician Mthabisi Maphosa also known as Schmidt will soon drop an album entitled, A place called Jesus.

The eight-track will consist of songs titled Lifestyle, Purpose, You are love ft Sia (Sinqobile Siyabonga Sibanda), What have you been saying?, Paradise, Love God, Never alone and Good life.

The album is expected to be released next month and will première on YouTube.

Under the watchful eye of producer Thaddaeus Mavunde, the album was recorded before being mixed and mastered under the TRB Musical recording label in Mpopoma.

Schmidt is convinced that the album will have gospel lovers salivating.
The funk-Afro jazz singer is not only blessed with the voice but is also a choreographer and has appeared in many music videos showcasing his fancy footwork.

The videos include Eternal Plan’s Uyangenzela and Christian Soldiers’ Mabhanan’ana.

He recently performed at the Comeback Season Concert held in May this year.

Schmidt is scheduled to perform with a gospel group called Eternal Plan at the Intwasa Arts Festival to be held later this month.
