COWDRAY Park Queens beat Street Set twice at the weekend in the Bulawayo Division One Women’s Soccer League. In the first match Queens won 1-0 before beating their opponents 3-0 in the second match. Street Set are rooted second from the bottom of the log standings with just three points with two matches to go.
They lost some of their players to Queens and this weakened them in the championship.
Fixtures secretary Bhekinkosi Ndlovu said the two teams had to clash twice to clear the fixture backlog.
“We want to end our league this weekend, both teams were forced to play two encounters because they started their season late due to player wrangles,” said Ndlovu.
Meanwhile, Inline Academy postponed their trip to Hwange Colliery as they could not get funds to travel in time.
