Duo jailed 5 years for vandalising National Railways of Zimbabwe Infrastructure file picture

TWO men were caught stealing Ballast (layer of crushed stones or rock that is laid on the track bed of a railway line) and were each jailed five years for vandalism in terms of the Railway Act.
In a statement on X, the (NRZ) said Tafadzwa Ncube and Ishmael Taderera were caught stealing ballast from the railway line at Empress Turn-off in Kadoma. Ballast is used for providing stability, drainage and support to the railway track.
