The Iranian commander went on to say that the IRGC Navy is equipped with state-of-the-art defensive military hardware.
On Wednesday, Iranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic are fully prepared to protect the country.
“Our country’s armed forces, under the wise command of [Leader of the Islamic Revolution] Ayatollah [Seyyed Ali] Khamenei are fully prepared to defend the Islamic Republic of Iran’s territory,” Dehqan stated.
On April 7, Deputy Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said the IRGC has equipped its fast attack crafts with indigenous Ghader (Capable) anti-ship cruise missiles.
Iran unveiled its home-made Ghader anti-ship cruise missile in September 2011. The 200-kilometre (124-mile) range missile reportedly enjoys automatic digital pilot system, high-precision navigation systems, high-precision striking capability, anti-jamming radar systems and a rapid deployment capability.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defence sector and has attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
The Islamic Republic has repeatedly assured other countries that its military might poses no threat to other countries since the Islamic Republic’s defence doctrine is based entirely on deterrence. – Presstv.
