It’s a party at a rally as South Africa’s Uhuru, Winnie Khumalo combine with Zimbabwe’s Madlela Sikhobokhobo and Clement Magwaza to thrill thousands of youths who will throng Bulawayo’s White City Stadium for the Youth Presidential Interface rally on Saturday.

Artistes will take to the stage to entertain youths during their Interface with President Mugabe.

If the festivities during the 21st February movement celebrations at Matobo Research station earlier this year are anything to go by, then today will be one of the most epic outings for youths and the young at heart.

Uhuru, who touched down in Bulawayo yesterday afternoon, said they were raring to go.

Clement Magwaza, a well known entertainer who is loved for his song Kokotsha Makokotsha, is expected to raise the dust at White City Stadium. The axe-wielding Madlela, who has been in blistering form from the beginning of the year wowing crowds at the Matabeleland North leg of the Youth Interface rally at Somhlolo Stadium in Lupane, is also expected to deliver his best.

“Just like what I did in Lupane, I’ll do the same in Bulawayo. They should expect nothing but a top notch, energetic and hilarious performance. It’s always good to perform for the President,” said Madlela.

Youth Affairs deputy secretary Mpehlabayo Malinga said all was set for today’s interface which will be characterised by entertainment from local and South African artists. He said several local artists have donated their services as they want to perform for President Mugabe.

“The performance by the South African artists is a donation from one of the party’s friends who wants to remain anonymous,” said Malinga.

He urged fun lovers from Bulawayo to come for the interface saying it is a full package for both politics and entertainment lovers.
