Hip-hop star Asaph is set to honour his wife and child on Valentine’s Day with a heartfelt track titled Forever Yours.

Since November last year, the Vibe is Correct hitmaker has been consistently releasing a single every month, a trend he plans to maintain until May.

So far, he has dropped Believe Me (November), RunBYO (December), and Blessed Are the Shooters (January).

Speaking about Forever Yours, which features GQ Geniusmusiq, Asaph described it as a pledge of love to his family.

“For now, I have standalone singles that I’ll be releasing until May. The song I’m dropping for February is Forever Yours, inspired by my wife and daughter. It tells our story and serves as my promise to them in front of the whole world,” he said.

To mark Valentine’s Day, Asaph will release a visualiser for the track on Friday, alongside its official streaming debut on all platforms.

“The song is about my wife and daughter. It’s basically our journey and the vows I’m making to them — to be a dedicated husband and father, despite my career as an artiste and the life I lived before. Their love has truly changed me, and this is my way of celebrating them,” he added.

Having parted ways with Def Jam Records two years ago, Asaph said he is embracing his independence as an artiste.

“I’m independent now, and it feels good to have full control over my music. I can plan and release what I want, when I want. My focus is now message-based, and I’m intentional about the story I’m telling through my music and career.”

Looking ahead, Asaph promised fans more music, visuals, and exclusive events.

“People should expect more releases and visuals. I also plan to host intimate one-man shows where I can connect with my fans and celebrate the music together.” —@mthabisi_mthire
