THE Fortune Fokoza Foundation Under-14 Soccer tournament takes place in Entumbane suburb today.

The draw was held at the Bulawayo Zifa offices on Wednesday afternoon and four developmental teams will face off in a knockout format.

Defending champions Zebra Revolution FC will play against Ajax Hotspurs, while Highlanders will square off against Entumbane Academy.

Spokesperson for the foundation Mike Dube said the games will kick-off at 9am.

“All is set for the tournament following a successful draw that we had during the week. We call on all soccer enthusiasts to come and witness some of the great talent Bulawayo has on offer. There will be a special donation to the Entumbane community after the tournament,” said Dube.

Winners of the tournament will walk away with a trophy, kit, medals and five balls, while losing finalists will get medals and four balls.

Third and fourth-placed teams will get two soccer balls each.

This year’s competition will see the player of the tournament going for trials in South Africa and will have a chance of playing in Portugal if he makes the grade.

The tournament is the brainchild of former Motor Action and Bantu Rovers winger Fortune Fokoza Ncube.

Ncube is now based in neighbouring South Africa where he is a coach at Sporting CP Academy, which has links in Portugal. – @khumzallen
