Still pursuing her Journalism and Media Studies degree at the National University of Science and Technology, Natasha Mutsiba has already established herself as a rising star in the field of journalism.

The promising journalist clinched the Film and Television Reporting Excellence Award at the Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards (Zaftas), outshining seasoned professionals like Anesu Mirisawu, Kingstone Zimunya, and Tendai Sauta.

A former intern at Chronicle under the Showbiz desk, Mutsiba expressed joy at receiving such recognition.

“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion I poured into my work while interning at Chronicle. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Chronicle for providing me with the platform to express myself through writing and for believing in my potential.

“This year has been extraordinary, and I feel incredibly honoured to have my efforts recognised meaningfully. I’m excited for what the future holds and remain committed to this journey of growth and excellence in journalism,” said Mutsiba.

The soon-to-be graduate, set to finish her studies next year, shared her aspirations to return to the newsroom after completing her degree.

“Moving forward, I intend to shine by building strong relationships with other professionals in the industry. Collaborating with talented individuals and learning from their experiences can inspire new ideas and perspectives in my work,” she said.
