BULAWAYO’S house music scene was last Sunday electrified by the Garden of House (GoH) event, where the city’s finest DJs took to the stage to deliver an unforgettable night of pulsating beats and electrifying energy. But this time there was a twist – the introduction of Zim Tickets – a digital ticketing system.
Known for their innovative digital ticketing system, Mviyo Technologies’ Zim Tickets platform brought a new level of sophistication to the event, ensuring that every ticket was accounted for and every attendee had a legitimate pass to the party.
Gone were the days of sneaking in through the back gate or slipping a few dollars to the security personnel. With Zim Tickets’ system in place, ticket fraud and leakages were a thing of the past. The digital wrist tickets were scanned using state-of-the-art turnstiles at the entrance, making the process smooth and efficient.
This prevented unauthorised access and ensured that every ticket was legitimate, putting an end to the age-old practice of bribing security personnel for entry. It also enhanced the overall experience for genuine ticket holders.
Prudence Moyo, the Marketing Manager at Mviyo Technologies said Zim Tickets is more than a ticketing platform.
“At Mviyo Technologies, we are not just building technology; we are building experiences. By partnering with events like GoH, we are transforming the way people enjoy live music, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for every attendee.
“Zim Tickets is more than just a ticketing platform; it’s a gateway to a new era of event management. We are excited to be at the forefront of this digital revolution, shaping the future of live entertainment in Zimbabwe,” said.
The collaboration between GoH and Zim Tickets was more than just a logistical upgrade; it was a statement. It showed that Bulawayo’s entertainment scene is ready to embrace technology and innovation, ensuring that events are not only fun but also fair and secure. The crowd, knowing that their entry was legitimate, fully immersed themselves in the music, dancing with abandon and enjoying the night without a care.
Mandla Nkiwane, the Chief Technology Officer at Mviyo Technologies said Zim Tickets brings transparency, security, and efficiency to ticketing.
“Technology has the power to revolutionise industries, and the entertainment sector is no exception. With Zim Tickets, we are leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance the fan experience and streamline event operations.
“Our goal is to create innovative solutions that not only benefit event organisers but also provide a world-class experience for attendees. By digitising the ticketing process, we are ensuring transparency, security, and efficiency,” he said.
As the DJs spun their tracks, the lights danced across the faces of the crowd, and the music thumped through the speakers, it was clear that this partnership was a game-changer. The success of the event was proof of what can be achieved when tradition meets technology, and it set a new standard for future events in Bulawayo.
Ashton ‘DJ Ash T’ Gumbo, one of the GoH organisers, said Zim Tickets helped them to boost their revenue and enhanced the overall experience for their patrons.
“The integration of Zim Tickets’ online platform allowed for a smoother purchasing experience, enabling patrons to buy tickets in advance from the comfort of their homes. This advance ticketing reduced the rush at the gates and gave us better control over attendance numbers.
“One of our primary goals was to ensure that only ticketed patrons entered the venue. Using Zim Tickets’ digital ticketing system helped us manage access more effectively and significantly reduced the incidents of gate-crashing.
“The pre-purchased tickets allowed us to implement a quicker and more efficient entry system, leading to shorter waiting times for our guests. The reduction in long queues not only improved the experience for attendees but also contributed to a more positive atmosphere overall,” said Gumbo.
Gumbo said the ticketing system helped them to understand the demographics of the patrons.
“The partnership also provided us with valuable data analytics, helping us understand attendance trends and patron demographics better. This insight will be instrumental in planning future events more effectively.
“Overall, the partnership with Zim Tickets was a resounding success, and we are proud of the improvements we were able to implement for this event. We are already looking forward to further collaborations in the future to continue enhancing our patrons’ experiences,” he said.
