Gudyanga Irrigation Scheme reports promising winter wheat crop in Chimanimani

Manicaland, 19 September 2024 — THE Gudyanga Irrigation Scheme in Ward 20 has successfully cultivated 8.5 hectares of winter wheat, with 7.1 hectares progressing from the soft dough to hard dough stage. Agricultural experts project an impressive yield of 5 tonnes per hectare, indicating a potential boost to local food security.
