Gweru bouncer hangs self The late Shoenyann Caterlang Bones

A popular Gweru bouncer — Shoenyann Caterlang Bones (39) allegedly hanged himself from a tree at their plot in Gweru following a misunderstanding with his wife on Sunday morning.

His body was discovered by his cousin. Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the sudden death of Bones who was a resident bouncer at clubs which include the upmarket Pabloz at Megawatt Shopping Complex.

Inspector Mahoko said: “Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms having received a sudden death report where a body of a 39-year-old man was found hanging from a tree.

The incident occurred on 20 March at about 6am at Plot 10, Travellers Rest, Gweru.” He said according to reports, the late Bones allegedly had a misunderstanding with his wife who later left home for an unknown destination.

“Bones then informed his grandmother Jessica Bones that he was going to commit suicide. At about 6am, Bones’ body was discovered by his cousin hanging from a tree about 30 metres from their homestead,” said Inspector Mahoko.

He said the matter was reported to the police and the body was taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital for post-mortem.

“We call upon members of the public to resolve disputes amicably and always seek the help of a third party,” said Inspector Mahoko.
