Gweru to host Chamhembe urban Grooves reunion Milan Family Restaurant

Gweru is gearing up to host a rare music show, Urban Groove Chamhemhe reunion at Milan restaurant at 6 pm today.
The show will feature Roqui, Mafriq, Tererai, and Extra Large.

Chamhembe will pay tribute to the golden era of urban grooves, a genre that once reigned supreme on the airwaves in the early 2000s.
This event aims to unite both legendary and emerging performers to celebrate the genre’s enduring impact on Zimbabwe’s music industry
The highly anticipated show, named, promises to sweep audiences on a nostalgic journey through Zimbabwe’s vibrant urban music scene.

Urban grooves, distinguished by their fusion of traditional Zimbabwean sounds with contemporary urban influences, reshaped the country’s musical landscape, with artists from this movement continuing to leave a profound mark on modern music.
Milan Restaurant manager Christabel stated, “Chamhembe is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of Zimbabwe’s musical heritage.
“We are thrilled to witness these talented artists coming together to deliver an electrifying experience for their fans.
She added, “Everything is set, and fans are expecting to reignite their memory from the music that was once the young generation’s favourite during its prime days.”

Pyrexia has already gripped fans to witness the performance of urban groove legends.
“I grew up listening to Roki and he rarely comes to perform here in Gweru, so I never had any chance to watch him perform live, and I am not going to miss this show,” said a fan who identified herself as Tecla.
Another fan, Pamela said, “I’m excited to attend my first music show for this year. I was in South Africa for my studies, and I never had time for merry-making, so to me, the show is going to be a refreshing moment for me.”
Milan restaurant has become the new spot in town for hosting big music shows with big artists such as Jah Prayzah, Sulumani, and Saintflow among others.
