XOLISANI Gwesela has confirmed his departure from Zifa where he had been acting chief executive officer.

The Zifa Normalisation Committee issued a written statement confirming that they had severed ties with the trio of Wellington Mupandare former national teams manager, technical director Wilson Mutekede and Gwesela

This morning Gwesela confirmed that he had agreed to live after putting Zimbabwe and football family interests on the fore.

“I have left for progress sake,” said Gwesela who confirmed that the Normalisation Committee had announced the news prematurely.

“They were supposed to wait, pay and then announce. Money has not been paid in full,” said Gwesela.

This has ended months of speculation and fights between the national association and its former employees.
