AJAX Hotspurs will be out to extend their unbeaten streak to 22 when they visit Zenzele Tigers at Barbourfields Grounds in a Zifa Bulawayo Province Division Two League clash today.

Ajax have recorded 14 wins and seven draws, and top the table with 49 points. They have only conceded seven times, while scoring 39.

Ajax Hotspurs coach Nkosilathi Nkomo said they want to make history in the league.

“This is all a result of effort we put in during our training sessions. We have a goal to play in the First Division next season. We are not going to treat Zenzele Tigers any differently from other teams because they also want to win.

“At this stage every team is gunning to be the first to record a win against us, so we are going out there in full force,” said Nkomo.

He said they won’t allow their good run make them complacent in their remaining games, as the race for the championship is still open.

With eight matches to be played in the league, the race for the championship and promotion to the First Division next year is still wide open, as Arenel Movers are second on the league table with 48 points from 22 matches. Chicken Inn are third with 45 points from 21 games, while Emakhandeni Pirates are fourth with 40 points.
