HWANGE Football Club coach, Try Ncube is over the moon after winning the Zifa Southern Region Division One title.
Chipangano were crowned champions after they beat Indlovu Iyanyathela 1-0 at the Colliery Stadium on Saturday. Hwange won the league with one game to go.

For Ncube, this was his consecutive title in the Southern Region Division One league having won the same title with Bulawayo City in 2019.

He was crowned coach of the year that season. This time around, Ncube joined Hwange during the course of the season with the club having kicked-off their campaign under Bongani Mafu who left to join Ngezi Platinum Stars as an assistant coach but has since been shown the exit door by Madamburo.

Obert Moyo and Edmore Sibanda took charge of the team after Mafu’s departure until Ncube was hired at the end of August.
Ncube has been in charge of six games, winning five and managing one stalemate.

“We are happy that we are back in the topflight league,” said Ncube.

“I give credit to the executive, the technical team, players and most importantly our fans who never doubted us and kept believing we will be back in the elite league.

“I believe we have a good squad that will compete in the top league. We will analyse where we have to improve the team,” added Ncube.

On winning the league twice, the former FC Talen Vision assistant coach said there was no better feeling.
“It feels good. I thank God honestly, because it’s not easy to achieve such. It feels good. At Bulawayo City I had good assistant coaches in the likes of Johannes Ngodzo.
