FAST rising entertainment promotion company – 2 Kings Events are hard at work preparing for two key shows.

First up is the Diamond Platnumz “Watora Mari” gig with Jah Prayzah at the Harare International Conference Centre on December 2.

Also up their sleeves is Jamaican reggae superstar, Jah Cure, who is set to perform on December 16 at the same venue.

Both shows are likely to be sold out as many music lovers are anticipating them, especially Jah Cure whom numerous promoters have attempted to host over the years but failed.

Jah Cure was scheduled to perform in July but was replaced by Chris Martin after he was reported to have faced visa challenges.

Earlier this week, the Jamaican star behind numerous hit tracks including Call On Me and Before I Leave confirmed his local performance.
“Zimbabwe, Africa I’m coming home,” tweeted Jah Cure.

2 Kings spokesperson, Dee Nosh said they had successfully booked Jah Cure and were just finalising clearance locally as well as the date with other African promoters as the artiste is on an African tour.

Before performing in Zimbabwe, Jah Cure will perform in Dubai, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal and Malawi.

The artiste, who is popular with the ladies because of his lyrics which are pregnant with romantic overtures, will however, have to surpass the high bar set by Morgan Heritage whose memorable performance in Harare last month is still lingering in the minds of many.

Turning to the Diamond Platnumz gig, Dee Nosh said everything was in place.

“We’re now waiting for the day as everything is in order. Advance tickets which have been pegged at $10 standard and $20 VIP are selling like hot cakes and it seems like the show will soon be sold out,” said Dee Nosh.

Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, who catapulted to fame locally after collaborating with Jah Prayzah on a song – Watora Mari that became an instant hit – is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe on November 30 – two days before he performs.

“We’ve requested Diamond to come early so that fans have ample time to meet him. We’re planning a welcome party for him, either at Pablo’z VIP or Stars Nite Club.”

Other than the show, Diamond and Jah Prayzah will also likely get into studio as they are planning yet another collaboration which will also feature South Africa’s Mafikizolo.
