A locally-produced Christian movie meant to spread the gospel titled Salvation will be premiered tonight through a launch at Christian Centre in Victoria Falls.

The launch where Covid-19 regulations will be observed will kick off at 6PM.

The movie’s producer and director, Nigel Zambuko said all is set for the launch of the film which was set in Monde village, a few kilometers from Victoria Falls.

“We’re ready to launch the first Christian movie in Victoria Falls as we try to revive our film industry. Through this film that uses Ndebele, Shona, Tonga and English, we want to preach the gospel through film as the storyline is based on a young man coming from overseas to preach the gospel to his relatives in Africa,” said Zambuko.

He said it took them almost four months to come up with the full production whose cast comprises young up-and-coming actors, musicians and comedians from Victoria Falls.

“We took two months rehearsing and one-month shooting and another editing. The film was produced by Miles Production under CP Christian production.

“We’re grateful to companies that helped finance the production including Pan Africa and Golden Touch.”

The Salvation production team includes Buhle Usher, Abigal Tsitsi Munyebvu, Nothando Chauke and Offen Mutumbami. The acting cast in the hour-long movie comprises of Sizalobuhle Ncube, Diase Banda, Tatiana Chauke, Praiseworth Paridzira, Anesuishe Paradzira, Fizhani Ncube, Julia Tandi, Sukoluhle Mpofu, Gift Sibanda, Godfrey Sibanda, Thabani Zulu, Mandlenkosi Grey Moyo, France Ncube, Nomalanga Sibindi, Tafadzwa Paridzira, Blessings Nyoka, Peter Magara, Nkosiyapha Ndlovu, Obriel Stenny Zvakamwe and Brain Ndlovu.
