CHRONICLE readers have tipped Highlanders FC striker and Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top goal scorer, Lynoth “Sonjy” Chikuhwa, as the Soccer Star of the Year.

The Soccer Star of the Year will be announced on December 8. Chikuhwa ended the season with 17 goals.

In a poll conducted on the Chronicle WhatsApp Channel when the list of the 11 best players of the 2024 season was released, Chikuhwa received 88 percent of the vote.
Coming in second was Yadah FC forward Khama Billiat, who polled 5 percent of the vote and ended the season with 13 goals.

Champions Simba Bhora FC forward, Walter Musona came in third with 3 percent.

Journalists, coaches and club captains voted on Wednesday for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Soccer Stars of the Year for the just-ended season.

The virtual voting saw champions Simba Bhora dominating the list, with five players making the cut. These players are: Walter Musona, Blessing Moyo, Webster Tafa, Tymon Machope, and Isheanesu Mauchi.
