VETERAN singer, songwriter, dancer, percussionist and comedian Mamozi (real name Roben Mlauzi) has been named as the ambassador of The Safari Park Dvur Kralove zoo in the Czech Republic.

The former Iyasa member is doing wonders at his base in Czech Republic where he is raising the Zimbabwean flag high.

The Safari Park Dvur Kralove marketing manager Marketa Grunova said the appointment is based on Mamozi’s rich cultural roots which have the African vibe that many natural things should adhere to.

“The Safari Park Dvur Kralove is grateful for its collaboration with Mamozi whose songs complement Africa’s vibes in the zoo, but also represent the organisation on various occasions,” said Grunova.

Commenting on the ambassadorial role, Mamozi said: “Thank you The Safari Park Dvur Kralove for trusting and appreciating our work. We are humbled and look forward to this wonderful journey we’ll be embarking on together.”

Mamozi said the endorsement could not have come at a better time as he is working on his first solo project which will be filled with music of hope, teachings and encouragement.

“We’ve already released two singles, Ingoma and Wongo from the upcoming album and it’ll feature artistes like Futurelove, Nkwali, Mandy Mae, Awakhiwe, WaCharie,Vuyi Sax and Novuyo Seagirl,” said Mamozi. – @mthabisi_mthire
