Matter of fact

IN an article published in The Chronicle on April 10, 2019, titled, “Ministry needs $23 billion to implement five-year health plan,” we reported that the Ministry of Health and Child Care needs an estimated $23 billion to implement a five-year plan to address the prevailing health issues under the National Health Strategy up to 2020.

It has since come to our attention that the $23 billion is an aggregate of three scenarios. Since all three scenarios cannot take place at the same time, it means the health plan would cost between $6.6 billion dollars and 8,5 billion dollars for the five-year period 2016-2020, depending on the option taken by Ministry of Health and Child Care.
