Behind the success of many musicians are the unsung heroes, including instrumentalists like keyboardist Taffy Gee, renowned for his mesmerising keys that transport audiences to realms of emotional depth and technical brilliance.

With his piano, Taffy Gee (real name Tafadzwa Gumbo) creates a rich tapestry of music that captures the deepest nuances of human experience with precision and passion.

His mastery extends across genres and styles, from classical to innovative fusion compositions, exemplified by his co-production on Msiz’kay’s album “Sizalobuhle” and his work on Holy Ten’s “Risky Life” album, particularly on the track “Are You Really Coming”. He has also worked with bands such as Albinism Connect, The Most Wanted, and Band Fusion.

Each note Taffy Gee plays embodies the transformative power of music, leaving an indelible mark on listeners’ hearts.

Chronicle Showbiz recently caught up with him to learn more about his journey.

“I’m a music producer, musician, and instrumentalist. My passion for music transformed my hobby into a full-fledged profession, starting in 2020 when I realised my potential,” Taffy Gee shared.

“Since then, I’ve contributed to numerous projects with artistes including Afro Wav, Vuyo Brown, Cliff Jeans, Moses Wesizwe, and many others.”

At the moment, Taffy Gee is deeply involved in projects with renowned musicians like saxophonist Vuyile Qongo, Bryan Awa, Royal Adore, and pursuing his personal musical compositions.

“My goal is to elevate music as a healing force, spreading messages of hope, peace, and love, and aiming for the stars,” Taffy Gee said.
