FORMER national team defender Elvis Moyo and attacking midfielder Arthur Musiyiwa have been included in Bulawayo Chiefs’ squad to face Cranborne Bullets in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after recovering from injuries.

Chiefs take on the army side at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The pair had been sidelined for more than a month, missing Chiefs’ last Chibuku Super Cup group game against Chicken Inn (1-1) in October, as well as their 1-0 win over Triangle United in the opening league match of the season.

The full squad complement excites their Portuguese coach Nilton Terroso, who is hoping to return from the capital with maximum points.

The Portuguese understands the difficulty of playing Cranborne, who were active last weekend in a losing cause against Ngezi Platinum Stars in the semi-finals of the Chibuku super Cup.

Cancellation of matches after suspended Zifa officials withdrew referees, meant clubs like Chiefs had to endure two weeks of inactivity, something that might affect their rhythm.

“In terms of injuries, we’ve managed to get everyone match fit and I think we’ve done a good job managing injuries and bringing back those injured.

“In terms of competitive levels and match fitness, we’re disadvantaged because our opponents were active last weekend, but this is not an excuse that we’re going to the game handicapped.

We train according to how we want to play; our levels of intensity, concentration and aggressiveness have to be high.

We’ll take this game like any other game,” said Terroso.  — @ZililoR
