Bulawayo-based musician, Msiz’kay believes that landing international gigs is transforming his brand toward international recognition.

This year, the Ngawuzw’uMoya Wami hit-maker performed at the Isintu Fest UK and took the stage again in Birmingham last week — his first two international performances since beginning his career in music.

Reflecting on his overseas experiences, Msiz’kay shared how each international appearance has boosted his profile and brought him closer to his goal of becoming a globally recognised artiste.

“The trip to Birmingham has been a tremendous boost for my career,” said Msiz’kay.

“It exposed me to a new audience and helped me grow as both an artiste and performer. The dream has always been to reach international heights and these gigs align perfectly with that vision.

“Your network is your net worth, and I’m richer as an artiste with each opportunity to connect with talented performers. It’s truly an incredible experience.”

Msiz’kay described both performances as invaluable for networking and performing for new audiences. While the Birmingham show did not draw the hoped-for crowd, the atmosphere was electric and filled with positive energy among those who attended.

“Even though attendance was lower than expected in Birmingham, the vibe was amazing — there was love and great energy.

“This whole experience was invaluable, and I’m eager to apply what I’ve learned overseas to my craft to secure more international shows and expand the Msiz’kay family even further,” he added. — @mthabisi_mthire
