TWO months after Sofa Silahlane hit-maker, Nkosazana Daughter from South Africa, staged a memorable show in Gwanda, she is set to return to Zimbabwe by public demand for three shows.
She is scheduled to perform in two cities and one town this week in what promises to be a great start to the month of September.
Good times are coming for her fans in Gweru, Beitbridge and Bulawayo starting with Beitbridge on Friday. She is billed to perform at Pagomba Café where she will be supported by decorated artistes Jah Signal, Jah Master and Bhadilah.
From there, she will come to Bulawayo where she will perform at the Palace Hotel on Saturday. She will be ably supported by Jah Signal, Fab G, Ndunge YUT, and Jah Master.
She will wrap up her local performances on Sunday with a show dubbed the “September Mass Birthday Bash”. The show is set to take place at Gweru Golf Club and will be a day event that will coincide with Jah Signal’s birthday celebrations. Jah Signal is one of the headlining acts at the event. More performances will be from Jah Master, Ndunge Yut and Mr Grey.
Events promoter, Tapiwa Gandiwa said everything is in place for the gigs.
“We’re very excited and are expecting huge crowds as Nkosazana Daughter has made a name for herself in the country. This (hosting her) is good for the entertainment industry and our business as well,” Gandiwa said.
“We want to make sure that people get a feel of local and international artistes hence why we continue to host locals and artistes from South Africa. People should expect fireworks as these shows will certainly set the tone for the festive season.”
Nkosazana Daughter’s last show in the country was over-subscribed with hundreds of revellers being turned away at the Phoenix Shisanyama in Gwanda as the venue was packed to the rafters, forcing event organisers to bar more people from entering.
