PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday morning has sworn in the Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation Science and Technology Development, Honourable Simelisizwe Sibanda.

President Mnangagwa had relieved the Bubi constituency legislator of his duties as Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development for misconduct last month.

President Mnangagwa last week reinstated him with Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, saying the President  had pardoned Cde Sibanda after he apologised and undertook not to repeat the misconduct.

This Tuesday morning, President Mnangagwa swore in Deputy Minister Sibanda alongside Commissioners, in the Zimbabwe Land Commission and the Commission of Inquiry into the Governance of City of Harare.

“This morning, His Excellency President @edmnangagwa sworn in the Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation Science and Technology Development, Honourable Simelisizwe Sibanda, and Commissioners to the following boards, Tafadzwa Charles Hungwe – Commission of Inquiry into the Governance of City of Harare and Dr Rosemary Tsitsi Choruma – Zimbabwe Land Commission  and Sukai Tongogara- Zimbabwe Land Commission,” read a post on X by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.
