President Mnangagwa arrives for the commissioning of the ZDF Dzivaresekwa Housing Project amid housing delivery push

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF), arrived today for the commissioning of the highly anticipated Dzivaresekwa housing project. The initiative is part of the Government’s commitment to achieve the ambitious goal of constructing one million houses by 2025, ensuring that every Zimbabwean has access to decent shelter.
Accompanying the President were key figures including Service Chiefs and Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, highlighting the importance of the project within national priorities.
The event also saw the presence of Harare Metropolitan Province’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Charles Tavengwa, and the Minister of State for National Security.
In addition to the housing project, President Mnangagwa is expected to hand over several vehicles to the uniformed forces, further enhancing their operational capabilities. Notable dignitaries included the Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Mr Nick Mangwana, and Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga.
This housing project represents a critical step in fulfilling the Second Republic’s vision for sustainable urban development and improved living conditions for all citizens.
