HARARE, Zimbabwe – This morning, President and Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, will officially commission the long-awaited Dzivarasekwa Housing Project, aimed at providing quality housing for members of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF).
The project, a key component of the Government’s Vision 2030 initiative, seeks to improve living conditions for military personnel and their families.
It is expected to accommodate hundreds of service members, addressing a chronic shortage of housing that has plagued the military for years.
The Dzivarasekwa Housing Project represents a significant investment in military infrastructure, reflecting the Government’s commitment to supporting the ZDF as they fulfill their national duties. The initiative also aligns with broader economic revitalisation efforts aimed at fostering development and stability in Zimbabwe.
As part of Vision 2030, the Government aims to transform the country into an upper-middle-income economy, with various sectors, including housing, playing a crucial role in achieving this goal.
