President Mnangagwa visits Botswana to strengthen SADC ties

ZIMBABWE President and SADC Chairman Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has embarked on an official visit to Gaborone, Botswana, marking his first trip to the SADC Secretariat Headquarters since assuming leadership of the regional bloc.
The visit underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to regional cooperation and development within the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
During his stay, President Mnangagwa’s itinerary includes engagements with the Secretariat staff and the ceremonial handover of the newly acquired SADC Secretariat Headquarters Building. Additionally, he will preside over a significant ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the SADC Standby Force Regional Logistics Depot (RLD), aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the regional force.
This visit highlights the importance of collaboration among SADC member states in addressing shared challenges and promoting sustainable development across the region.
