Chivi North, Zimbabwe – THE Presidential Poultry Scheme, launched by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is making significant strides in improving livelihoods in Chivi North in Masvingo provimce.
With robust support from local Member of Parliament Cde Godfrey Mukungunugwa, the initiative has distributed 17 000 road runners to all 32 wards in the district, providing a much-needed boost to local farmers.

The scheme aims to enhance food security and promote sustainable agriculture, aligning with the nation’s Vision 2030 goals.
Farmers have reported increased productivity and income, marking a positive shift in the community’s economic landscape. Cde Mukungunugwa’s provision of stock feeds has further empowered farmers to maximise the benefits of the programme.

As the initiative continues to unfold, residents express optimism for a more prosperous future, showcasing the potential of Government programmes to effect real change at the grassroots level.
