DJ Ntu2kay, Bulawayo’s dynamic producer on the rise, has collaborated on an Amapiano single with South African artists, DJ Skhatla and Inno Matijane, clearly demonstrating that he has no plans to halt in spreading his wings globally.

The Amapiano single which was released recently is titled Nka Screama which means I will scream. It is a dedication to women that there is more to life than money, while at the same time embracing the new genre.

Last month Ntu2kay produced another Amapiano single with United Kingdom-based traditional singer Busi Mhlanga. The young producer asserted that he will not be slowing down any time soon.

“The story behind the song honestly is just to embrace the vibe of the new genre which is Amapiano, at the same time motivating young girls out there that not everything is about money. Nka Screama talks about a lady at a bar who’s approached by a broke man and in response, the lady says to the broke man ‘I will scream if you do not leave me alone’. “So she turned down the broke guy because he didn’t have money which is contrary to sugar daddies with whom she prefers.”

On the collaboration, DJ Ntu2Kay said: “I feel excited and overwhelmed at the same time to be working with people like Inno Matijane and DJ Skhatla as it’s a blessing. At first I couldn’t believe that this was actually me.

“Quite frankly, I’m still amazed and thank God for the gift that he has given me,” he said.

Ntu2kay said social media has been the cornerstone of his networking ambitions.

“Instagram has been the main social media platform that has been giving me the opportunity to showcase my work and get in touch with big artists. As far as I’m concerned, the future is holding great things for me as I continuously see my dreams and wishes unfolding before me. My dreams are coming true.

“I was also humbled when the song that I produced (Gqi Gqi Gqi by Busi Mhlanga) was played at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards. The exceptional performance by the dancers did justice to the song and I appreciated that.”

The versatile artiste also took the podium to announce that he is now going solo and is detached from Usiba Entertainment which he has been working under.

“I’m now pushing a solo career which means I’m no longer under Usiba Entertainment. This decision does not derive from any negative experience with my former CEO, I’m guaranteed that we are still going to release the finest tracks together, but as of now, I just want to expand my talent and see where I am lacking so as to work on it.

“Next year I’ll be dropping another track with Lovers Exclusive who is also a South African artist under Lingas Entertainment which is owned by Dr Malinga. So I’d like to encourage other dreamers like me out there to never underestimate themselves, push your talent to the next big thing and if there’s no door for success, build one. Even though I’m not yet there, I’ve faith that someday, I’ll get where I’m destined to be,” said Ntu2kay. – @SeehYvonne
