Rapper Tojey Blox finally meets icon

FOR Bulawayo-born rapper, “Tojey Blox,” meeting his celebrity icon, South African award-winning actress, Dawn Thandeka King was high on the pecking order of his to-do bucket list.
Now, he can check that off as the pair met for the first time over the weekend at the Hertford Hotel in Lanseria, Johannesburg in neighbouring South Africa.
Since 2020, Tojey Blox and King had been talking on Instagram and what was left was for them to meet and it finally happened.
Known for her captivating role as “MaNgcobo” in the hit soapie, Uzalo, King was hosting her inspiring workshop, “Crochet and Heal” which aimed to nourish the creative spirit, promote well-being and enhance crocheting skills among attendees and Tojey Blox was the guest performer at the event.

A rising star in the music scene, Tojey Blox, has quickly become one of the most talked-about rappers in the area.
In an interview, Tojey Blox said meeting Dawn was quite satisfying.
“It’s quite funny that we got to converse virtually first before we met each other.
“Meeting her was fulfilling as I look up to her a lot. She’s my inspiration and icon in the entertainment space, so I was glad, I finally met her,” said the Power singer.
“Finally meeting uMaNgcobo and being a part of this workshop was incredible.

Four years ago, the rapper released, You’re Appreciated (MaNgcobo) paying homage to the seasoned actress who also lent her voice on the song.
Born 24 years ago into a Christian family with a rich musical heritage, Tojey Blox’s talent has shone brightly, especially in 2021, when he was nominated for a trifecta of awards at one of South Africa’s prestigious youth music awards.
