STOCKY and speedy Chicken Inn forward Brian Muza’s signature is being persuaded by Rwandan Premiership side Gasogi United who are keen to sign him on a permanent basis.

Muza had a stellar performance in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League 2021/2022 season that saw him being named one of the country’s eleven Soccer Stars of The Year.

In his maiden season in the PSL for the star studded Chicken Inn, the 25-year old Muza, a former Talen Vision forward, went on to find the target 11 times, a development that also saw him being named Gamecocks’ 2021/2022 season Top Goal Scorer.

Club secretary Tavengwa Hara confirmed that their bustling forward was being targeted by the Rwandan side.
“Yes, it’s true they wrote a letter to us. That is, inquiries were made by the Rwandan club Gasogi United which is seeking the services of our player Brian Muza. All I can say is negotiations are being held between the two clubs,” said Hara.

The veteran football administrator added that: “We are happy for Muza that he is getting recognised after his debut appearance in the country’s top flight league. That he is being recognised in his one year in the Premiership, is exciting for us as a club. If proper procedure, satisfaction of the club and more importantly, the welfare of the player are met, we will not stand in Muza’s way.

The player has to be happy and proper rules have to be followed. We should not compromise the value of the player just because it’s a foreign team that wants to sign him. In the meantime, Muza has to keep on working hard and get more recognition.”

“The management of Gasogi United, a member of Rwanda Football Federation, playing in the Primus National League with pleasure would like to sign your player by the name Brian Muza for two years. Gasogi United will pay the transfer fee of the player in two installments.

“Gasogi will provide accommodation for the player, food, medical cover while on duties and a monthly salary payable in local currency fixed at the exchange rate of the signing of the contract.”
Gasogi United, who use Kigali’s Stade Régional de Nyamirambo that has a capacity of 22 000 spectators, are on position four in the Rwandan premiership, with 28 points, two behind from pacesetters AS Kigali in 15 starts.
