RHUMBA fans in Bulawayo are in for a treat as Mlambos Express Band, led by veteran artiste Fiselani “SaMangwe” Ngwenya, launches their 23rd album, Mambuluzambonwe, this Saturday at Happy Valley Tavern in Nguboyenja.
The album, which has already enjoyed a successful launch in South Africa, continues SaMangwe’s tradition of blending experience and innovation to keep his loyal fan base engaged.
Kulendaba Yini?, Watch Out, Ekuphumuleni, Ilele, Swelokwakhe Number 9, and the title track showcase the band’s exploration of themes such as love, death, money, family, and life lessons.
SaMangwe expressed excitement ahead of the Bulawayo launch, promising a night to remember.
“The launch in South Africa went very well, and we’ve been selling the album directly to fans via social media. This time, we captured the album in Bulawayo and finalised production in South Africa. Fans can expect nothing short of our best on Saturday.
“We never underestimate our fans, and we encourage them to come in numbers,” said SaMangwe.
The event will also feature performances by King Phosa and Nkayi Challengers, Revonia Ndaba, Conny and Big Max, and the return of Gubuzela. Known for his captivating dance moves, SaMangwe, along with his well-trained team, will lead the energy-filled performances.
As the festive season approaches, Mlambos Express Band has lined up shows across various locations and remains open for bookings.
“We have a busy festive season ahead but still have some free dates. Fans should come ready to purchase the new album on Saturday,” SaMangwe said
