Scottland FC’s training allowances show commitment to players

Chronicle Online
SCOTTLAND FC is demonstrating a serious commitment to player development by providing generous training allowances during pre-season.
Throughout January, the Premier Soccer League newcomers’ players received a US$100 cash allowance after each training session – a significant investment designed to motivate the squad.
This exceeds what other clubs have traditionally paid as winning*bonuses in the Premier League.
The Tonderai Ndiraya-coached side has been training six days a week, with each player earning a total of US$1 700 in training allowances between 12 and 31 January.
This is in addition to their monthly salaries, highlighting the club’s dedication to supporting its players financially.
“The allowances started on 12 January and ran until 31 January. Each player received a total of US1, 700. This is on top of their monthly salaries,” a source confirmed.
Scottland FC president Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya initiated the incentive programme, recognising the importance of pre-season preparation.
His pledge to reward players, even those who may not ultimately make the final squad, underscores the club’s focus on fostering a positive and competitive environment.
Scottland FC has made headlines with its ambitious recruitment strategy, securing some of the nation’s top talent.
Among their high-profile signings are last year’s Soccer Star of the Year, Walter Musona, along with first and second runners-up Lynoth Chikuhwa and former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat.
These acquisitions signal the club’s intent to compete at the highest level and challenge for major honours.
