TALEN VISION will continue to have a team playing in the Zifa Southern Region Division One League despite the club spreading its wings and setting up an academy.

The Talen Vision Sports Academy (TSA) is expected to be a dynamic initiative rooted in Filabusi whose objective is to identify and nurture local sporting talent through partnerships with schools in the region.

Talen Vision administrator Hloniphani Ngwenya in an interview with Zimpapers Sports Hub said the academy will not only focus on football.

“TSA’s strategic collaboration with Ivinar Park Academy seeks to elevate it to a sports excellence institution. The initial focus is on soccer with plans to enrol players up to the age of 16 and create a robust development programme.

“TSA envisions expanding into other sporting disciplines identified by Ivinar Park Academy and it wants to be a comprehensive sports hub for the region. This initiative represents more than an academy; it is a transformative movement committed to shaping a lasting sports legacy in Filabusi and beyond,” said Ngwenya.

He said TSA is expected to be a beacon of athletic prowess strategically positioned in the vibrant community of Filabusi.

“Rooted in a vision of identifying and nurturing sporting talent at its grassroots, TSA seeks to form symbiotic relationships with local schools, especially in and around Filabusi so that it becomes a catalyst for the holistic development of young athletes,” said Ngwenya.

He said in aligning with this vision, TSA recognises the invaluable role of local schools as suppliers of raw talent.

“The academy aims to initiate talent identification programmes in collaboration with schools in the Filabusi region, including the likes of Singwango, Silalatshani, Mahole and Nkankezi among others thereby creating an expansive network that taps into the diverse pool of athletic potential within these communities,” said Ngwenya.

He said despite the formation of the academy, the team will continue to participate in the Zifa Southern Region Division One League.

“The team will continue to play in Division One with the academy feeding into the senior team in future.”-@innocentskizoe
