The Bangladesh national cricketers will get back to business today with a camp for the home series against Zimbabwe. Most of the Tigers had taken a break after returning from a physically draining Asia Cup in the UAE.

The scorching heat and back-to-back ODI matches had worn off the cricketers and proper rest upon returning home had become necessary.

Bangladesh in the Asia Cup had finished as the runner-up yet again but were praised for how they dealt with the massive challenges.

The side was shaken by injuries to key players.

But that did not make Bangladesh lose confidence, rather they worked harder to overcome the hurdles.

Bangladesh will start afresh with the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe scheduled to start on October 21.

The BCB named a 15-member squad without all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and opener Tamim Iqbal.

The duo is recovering from the respective finger injuries. Tamim, who fractured his left index finger in the Asia Cup, would take at least eight weeks to return to action.

Shakib was hit with an infection in his injured finger.

Though it was initially termed serious, the left-arm all-rounder returned home on Sunday following treatment in Australia and informed he can return to action in around two months’ time.
