Two arrested in possession of elephant tusks and pangolin scales

TWO men were arrested in possession of two elephant tusks and five pangolin scales at a growth point.
In a statement on X, police said Tinotenda Muringayi (29) and Doesmatter Chidhakwa (26) were arrested at Mangunje growth point on 17 November 2023 while looking for potential buyers.
“On 17/11/23, detectives from CID Flora and Fauna acted on received information and arrested Tinotenda Muringayi (29) and Doesmatter Chidhakwa (26) for possession of two Elephant tusks and five Pangolin scales at Magunje Growth Point.”
“The suspects were looking for potential buyers at the time of their arrest,” reads the statement.
