EYADINI Lesangoma Bar in Sizinda on the outskirts of Victoria Falls was a hive of activity on Sunday night when Ma9Nine, and Mzoe7 shared the stage with locals Muffia King and Mery Tee “Usis Wothando.”

Victoria Falls-based Ithwasa Lodumo, a self-proclaimed prophet-cum traditional healer Musawenkosi Vundla organised the show to celebrate his birthday.

South Africa-based musician, Jaycee Rapaddict (real name Sindiso Moyo) of the song titled “Ungayithi Vuu” was conspicuous by his absence.
He had been reportedly paid for the show but failed to turn up although he kept telling the organsiers that he was around, organisers said.

Vundla built the spot at Sizinda shops and has been making efforts to promote it as a music shows venue with its two-compartment club and an elevated stage on the first floor while the DJ booth is enclosed on the same upper floor.

The place is elegant for a rural spot and has been a hit with fun lovers. Sunday was a busy day with lots of food, drinks and braai at the venue before the musical show in the evening.

First on stage was a group called Ayoba followed by Usis Wothando who did not disappoint. The crowd was still small inside the venue as people were still queueing outside.

DJ Gwanza was next and he entertained fans until Ma9Nine entered the stage sending the crowd into a frenzy with his Ndebele dancehall chants.

His rendition of Ndolwane Super Sounds Uhluphile song also had the crowd singing along.

In came Muffia King representing Vic Falls dancehall and he did not disappoint either, dishing out several of his songs, fusing with local songs sung mostly at gatherings in Victoria Falls.

Mzoe7 came in after Muffia King and the crowd was already electrified.

He made the show more engaging as he turned it into a dance competition by inviting fans to dance with him.

“Ungayithi Vuu” hitmaker Jaycee was last on stage as the show ended in the morning.

Vundla, who operates outlets in Victoria Falls and Hwange, said the aim is to expose the artists to fans while he celebrated his birthday.

He said he was impressed by the turnout.
