THE Victoria Falls City Mayor’s Cheer Fund walkathon got resounding response from residents and stakeholders who took off as early as 4am to start walking at the 50km peg between Hwange and Victoria Falls.
The cheer fund raises donations in cash and kind to gift to vulnerable members of society during the festive season.
Participants include residents and workers from the tourism industry.
While dozens of people are partaking in the walkathon, various companies and organisations adopted specific areas where they are picking litter.
Some started walking from 50km while others started from the 20km peg.
This will end with the launch of the Mayor’s Cheer Fund in the resort city this evening
