Youngins Mzansi’s favourite high school drama returns for season 2

Youngins, a beloved high school drama that captured the hearts of viewers during its first season on Showmax earlier this year, is set to return for a second season on November 15.

Breakout star Lebohang Lephatsoana (23), who played the character Tumelo, will reprise his role.
“The Youngins has shown me that my dreams are valid and reaffirmed my aspirations since grade 7. I’m beyond grateful that it’s all coming together with such a big production,” Lebohang expressed.

He also noted the incredible opportunity to work alongside industry veterans like Loyiso MacDonald and Bab’Simo Magwaza, saying, “I truly feel God has put me in the right space at the right time. I always remind myself to stay humble and grateful.”

Before his acting career, Lebohang gained popularity as a TikTok star. He admitted that being on television has brought a lot of attention, which can sometimes be overwhelming.
“This might surprise some people, but I struggle with social anxiety. Being in crowded spaces often makes me feel anxious. However, I’m learning to manage it and appreciate moments at events when the attention isn’t solely on me,” he shared.
As for the upcoming season, Lebohang hinted that it will be a challenging one for Tumelo.
“Peer pressure is a significant challenge for him, and he succumbs to a lot of it. I’m super-excited about the twists ahead and what Tumelo is about to go through. In the new season, he undergoes a transformation. That’s all I can reveal for now. I feel viewers have no idea what’s coming. As I read the script, I kept thinking, ‘Wow!’” he said. – TimesLive
