Zanu-PF announces dates, centres for conference accreditation

ZANU-PF yesterday announced dates and centres for accreditation of delegates who will attend the forthcoming 17th Annual National People’s Conference in Matabeleland South province.

The party’s Politburo set December 10 to December 15 as the dates for the conference to be held at Umzingwane Boys’ High School in Esigodini while delegates are set to be accredited between November 15 and November 29 in their provinces.

The conference, whose theme is “Zimbabwe is Open for Business: In unity and peace towards an upper middle-income economy by 2030”, is expected to attract 5 000 delegates drawn from the country’s 10 provinces.

The party’s Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, said party members in Mashonaland West province would be accredited in Chegutu tomorrow, Karoi on Saturday and in Chinhoyi on Monday.

“In Mashonaland Central province, party members will be accredited in Mt Darwin on November 21, in Bindura on November 23 and in Guruve on November 25. Those in Mashonaland East will be accredited in Murehwa on November 27, in Marondera on November 29 and in Chivhu on December 1.

“In Manicaland province, party members will be accredited in Rusape tomorrow, Mutare on Saturday and Hot Springs on Monday. In Masvingo province, delegates will be accredited in Gutu on November 21, Chiredzi on November 23 and Masvingo on November 25,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

He said in the Midlands province, delegates will be accredited in Zvishavane on November 27, Gweru on November 29 and Gokwe on December 1.

“In Matabeleland North province, party members will be accredited at York House in Bulawayo tomorrow, at Lupane on Saturday and Binga on Monday while party members in Bulawayo province will be accredited in Bulawayo.

“In Matabeleland South province party members will be accredited in Plumtree on November 24, Gwanda on November 26 and Beitbridge on November 28,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

He said Harare delegates would be accredited at the Zanu-PF headquarters on November 23 while service providers, officials and security, local and foreign media will be accredited at the Zanu-PF headquarters from November 26 to November 28.

Cde Khaya Moyo said local and foreign guests would be accredited on November 29 while ushers and service drivers would be accredited on November 30 at the Zanu-PF headquarters.

He said Central Committee and Politburo members would also be accredited at the Zanu-PF headquarters on dates to be announced. — @pamelashumba1
